Agricultural Engineer – Halnaker, West Sussex

FULL TIME

We are looking for a talented individual to join our team.  The role is varied and will involve servicing, repairing and maintaining agricultural and forestry equipment, attending agricultural shows to support sales and carrying out manufacturer approved servicing and repairs on machines sold under our franchises.  Your role will be based at our workshop in Halnaker but also involve travel to customer sites to conduct servicing and repairs.

Main Responsibilities

This role includes the following key priorities:

• Servicing and repairing machinery and equipment, either in the workshop or during field visits.
• Fixing faults or installing replacement parts.
• Compliance with manufacturers’ service and warranty procedures.
• Account for all hours worked using a time tracking App.
• Maintain work area and company vehicle in a safe, tidy and professional manner.
• Ensuring that Health and Safety principles are adhered to throughout the course of your work.

Personal Specification

• Good mechanical knowledge and experience of working with agricultural machinery.
• Good problem-solving skills.
• Good communication skills.
• The ability to work on your own or as part of a team.
• Sound awareness of Health and Safety practices.
• A full driver’s licence is essential.

Due to the nature of this role travelling is required in order to carry out your role.
